When initially asked if I could make a summer house, I was slightly daunted but treated the project as an extremely big, waterproof and element-resistant cupboard. As can be seen, ten years on the approach seems to have worked. I am really enjoying creating complete outdoor environments; from studios and guest accomodation to lawn-mower sheds and bird houses. I try to use as many recycled windows and doors as possible, which adds interest and history to the structure. Depending on the desired use for the structure, they can be insulated, supplied with electricity, wood-burning stoves and so on, right through to fully-fitted kitchens and interiors.
